Douglas tries to capture the landscapes of Scotland especially the area in and around the Spey valley in the Cairngorm National Park, where he tries to spend time absorbing the wonderful scenery in and around Newtonmore, Inverness-shire. Douglas took a walking trip of a lifetime to Everest Base Camp in November 2019.  He took some watercolour materials to capture the views and his companions.   These paintings are currently on display in Grantown on Spey and virtually in our gallery.
